Welcome to our classroom website!

We are going to have a great year together.  My goal this year is to inspire and challenge our students in reading and writing as they build on their skills and work to perfect their craft.

We will strengthen our reading comprehension through targeted skills exercises, short stories, literature groups, Readers Theater, and SSR time which includes independent reading goals that we will update each quarter.

We will strengthen our writing skills as we maintain our Writer's Notebooks, with sections focusing on writer's craft, editing, literary terms, spelling, and free writing. We will also be writing expository essays, short stories, poetry, and responding to literature using critical thinking skills.

There are many areas to the website that I know you will find great value in.  My goal is to make the website not just a tool for me, as the teacher, to connect with parents, but also a learning tool and resource for the students.

Below you will find some helpful links to important school files for your reference.

Enjoy and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!
